Step 1: post record growth. Step 2: lay people off. That is the ActiBlizz way.

And the CEO just made a video talking about there automated in game community management system that I suppose will replace a lot of these positions. As much as I will miss WoW, I look forward to not giving another cent to this company.

I noticed on forums they deny that the ticketing process being more automated (and making it harder to contact humans) have nothing to do with the layoffs. How can it NOT? I remember back when entering a ticket was fairly simple and I got an answer within at least a few days.

I’m so sorry to hear that :( I hope they can all pick up new jobs quickly, though the game industry in Oz isn’t as big. Kodick needs to find his GOP donations somehow I guess

Their employees must feel so demoralised. It’s not good for those individuals, it’s not good for the company, the game, nor us as customers. It’s shocking how little value is put on compassion and community. I love WoW, but the staff should find a better employer.
-
Bring back the days where they would all wear the Blizzard/Warcraft t-shirts with pride, and had an army of staff passionate about the company and their games and wanting to do their best for everyone.

If people look at the positions of the layoffs before posting their disgust, these are positions with little meaning post release. What do you want to have these people work on until the next expansion? Sucks for them, but that's how corperations work. It's not filantrophy.
