That's pretty hideous. If the frame rates were supposed to be that high, they'd film them that way. They lose their cinematic polish whenever you increase the frame rate like that.

that depends on camera of capture. It’s true frame insertion techniques to increase framerate can have negative effects on film, if source material is actually filmed at higher rate, it looks good.

Ehhh...I'd have been more impressed with 60 or 120 FPS. 48 is a really weird one and on a 60 Hz display will tear like crazy. Of course, if they had done it at 4k24 we could have just used Smooth Video Project to give us a nice soap opera effect that would have looked way better
