so, they're dead, but not that dead?

They always have to over complicate things to the point they can’t even explain it or keep it straight themselves. Should just be ‘ there are endless alternate versions of Shadowlands for each separate alternate universe/timeline’.
-
They made a huge mistake with WoD and they're trying to patch their mess since then. Rope allegory sounds nice on the surface, but It doesn't actually explain anything technically. It's just a cool metaphor similar to physicists trying to explain quantum mechanics.

This rope explanation is problematic in so many ways. So when a character dies in one timeline do they get judged by the Arbiter? Does any subsequent version also get judged seperately and later merge? So any missdeeds of an alternate version is atoned by the whole merged soul?
-
Does that merged "rope" have the memories of all their timeline versions? How many versions are there? If they're infinite and the character is just an evil as*hole all around they can never atone for their deeds because they're basically endless?

Ok so it’s like when Amy rebooted the universe in Dr. Who. One person exists but they have the memories of multiple versions. Didn’t require a monologue about Draka And rope buuuut I’ll take it Oh and for anime nerds it’s naruto shadow clones
