You know, I want to laugh along with this idea of “lol retconning,” but as a DM decades of experience, I have to say that the players that roast WoW for their style of perpetual storytelling would be crappy players in any D&D game, and I wouldn’t DM for them.

It isn’t a retcon tbh, retcon is changing something that already happened, this story didn’t happen yet. Another thing is that this version of the comic was available day 1, perhaps a mistake where they published an older version of the comic alongside the new one

Burning Legion in WoD was cause of Gul'dan, and Mannoroth died to Grom the first time cause Grom went after him to free himself and the orcs from the blood curse, and he died to Grom again in WoD cause Garrosh stopped him from drinking Mannoroth's blood
