    The lack of adequate definition of RoL has been found to hamper legal approximation of candidates in the accession process in earlier research. A negative judgement of the court would further demonstrate this EU accession design flaw, which has no clear solution

    Question now discussed at : Is Rule of Law adequately defined to do conditionality on EU structural funds? (as part of 🇵🇱🇭🇺 challenge of new ) Interestingly: Rule of law conditionality is the main instrument in EU for years...

    -Is ‘rechtsstaat’ voldoende gedefinieerd en levert de ‘conditionaliteit’ zo geen rechtsonzekerheid op? -Is ‘artikel 7’ niet het geijkte instrument? -Heeft het nieuwe instrument geen discriminerende werking?

    Clear language from Rutte. Yes NL is strict, and yes it has blocked progress before (and still doing so amongst others on Visa Liberalisation Kosovo), but time to move beyond stereotypes on 'wealthy northern countries' () supposedly not interested in Enlargement

    Important letter from Dutch MEP requesting suspension of IPA funds for Republica Srpska. Reversibility in action.

    The boycott by the leader of the Serbian entity of the necessary reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina is undermining the rule of law and harming the EU accession process. I am urging the Commission to ensure that these unacceptable actions have financial consequences.

    Only thing I seem to agree with here is that Albania, if considered ready by the EC and all MS, should start negotiations, even with North Macedonia still in the waiting room
