    According to a Congressional Budget Office report, just $1.8billion would keep 20,000 low-income families from being houseless. That means that extra $24b could have kept roughly 266,000 families off the street. The money is there. Give it to families.

    Last night, the House passed a $768,000,000,000 defense bill - $24 billion over what was requested and an increase from the previous year despite ending a war. But explain how investments in paid family leave, housing, care work, and education is too much one more time.

    Largest US strike is currently @ Columbia where 3k grad students have been striking for 5 weeks. Instead of reaching a fair agreement with its workers, Columbia — like a feudal lord speaking to his serfs — is ordering them to return to work by Fri. or be dismissed.
