Turtle Creek students will be learning virtually again Wednesday, January 4, 2023. On Thursday, all students will return to Turtle Creek for in-person instruction. Building administrators have created a plan to relocate 3-4 classrooms which still can’t be used for instruction.

Turtle Creek Elementary STEAM Academy will be virtual tomorrow Wednesday, January 4. The water damage mitigation at Turtle Creek is nearly complete, but will require one more day of virtual instruction before students are able to return to in-person learning inside the building.

As part of CSEdWeek, all five school libraries in the Woodland Hills School District are participating in “Flex Your Vex" on Monday, Dec. 5. Parents and guardians, please keep an eye out for specific opportunities involving your students that day.

The Woodland Hills School District recently received $25,000 on behalf of Schneider Electric as the winner of the APC K-12 Makeover Contest. The award allowed the district to relocate its data center and make several upgrades to its IT infrastructure.

Congratulations to the Woodland Hills Midget Football Association #1 for winning their championship! The team stopped by tonight's school board meeting to be congratulated for their accomplishment. The team should be extremely proud of their hard work and their success!

Every Woodland Hills student is being introduced to additional STEM education this year through a partnership with . Ms. Dietrich's class at Turtle Creek Elementary STEAM Academy is using Vex to reinforce what students learn in science class.

Last week, we shared that Ms. Teresa Hawthorne has been honored as a recipient of the New Pittsburgh Courier's Women of Excellence Award. WTAE came by to talk with Ms. Hawthorne about her commitment to positivity and making an impact in our community.

We want to remind you of the upcoming All-Parent Meeting for the district. We'll have the next meeting on Tuesday, October 25, at 5pm, at the Central Admin building (531 Jones Ave., N. Braddock, 15104) and using the Zoom link found on the calendar on the district website.
Approximately 700 educators spent Monday at Woodland Hills High School for a day of professional development. As part of the event, Woodland Hills staff shared tools, programs, services, strategies and other tips they've learned as educators.
