I think one of the hardest thing when you begin being indie professionally (not as hobby) is to separate the "vocal minority" from what really makes sense from a business point of view

-More reason to be cautious without the safety net that a big name company money can bring. Not that too many big name game devs are being all that creatively brave these past few years, with only a handful of notable exceptions.
