My accountant is saying I will pay tax on my Steam sales, before Steam’s cut. Does this sound fair, to pay tax on money that’s Steam’s, not mine? Have I missed something?

I mean, you pay taxes on money you don't have? I can't believe there's any country in the world that's doing that. Said from someone who lives in the country with highest taxes in the world!

My accountant’s said they’re taxing me for the net Steam sales (which is before Steam’s revenue share is deducted), so I’ll be paying tax on their share as well.

you should get in touch with other indies in Germany and ask them, I can't believe this is how it works!
