They're so rare nowadays that I usually download to them. Having said that, they're rare enough that they don't make or break my decision.

i love demos, but only if they transfer progress relatively seamlessly into the real game; otherwise it feels like restarting

Conceptually, I love demos. In practice, I can't be bothered to download/install them only to uninstall them just a little while later.

well in my case if you buy it, you can just keep playing (demo becomes the full game with serial code)
