People tend to know what sorts of games they enjoy. That’s why there’s genres, so people can quickly identify the games for them
-> many said didn't like/try #PSCD because it's a "card game" :P Maybe if they tried the demo for 10 minutes, they'd have seen it was easy!

Which is why I dislike when developers try to ‘break down genres’ for no reason. The categories aren’t there to help *them*.

They’re an aid for the consumer. 1 or 2 boundary breaking games are fine, 150 of them just means the consumer is going to waste

waste a lot more time, time most of them don’t have, on research. It's why people will always judge your VN on 'card gameplay'.

well, I clearly wrote in the game description that you can play the game as a normal VN with ZERO card gameplay :)
