from time to time I get asked even by famous indies the classic question "is worth putting your games on itch"? Well: it's NOT Steam, you can't expect a lot of traffic/sales. However if you have a fanbase is WAY easier to use. Its backend is the best, better than Steam for sure

before I was selling direct using BMT, it was OK, but was losing a crazy amount of time on support. After I moved on itch, basically ZERO support requests. You can even add Steam keys to the games automatically. I use it for pre-orders and beta testing. It's really good for that!

in short: don't expect crazy traffic or exposure. It's still your duty to bring customers to your games. It's the best selling direct system currently available. It's an awesome backend and community and you should totally consider using it :)
