time for one of my gamedev polls: minigames in visual novels. Yes or no? or it depends...? and if so, on what?

Yes, but only if it makes sense to have them (like hidden object segments if the visual novel is about a detective solving a crime, to give a quick example)

I said no; but if the game makes sense w/in the context of the visual novel yes (skippable on a game by game basis). Personally I like trying the minigames but, if I suck or don't care or have no time, I should be able to skip after attempting the minigame. If that makes sense?
