so the really messed up thing about my hot flashes is that if i drink something cold it kinda helps a bit, but if i drink something /hot/ it usually helps a lot more O_o

What do you think is the cause of the hot flashes? You're to young for meno, I think, so maybe just hormonal imbalance, stress, and/or maybe weird diet?

i think primarily stress. part of it is psychosomatic, if they start becoming more frequent i stress about them and even thinking of trigger foods can cause them. my diet has also been different though, for the past year, on account of the rona

my hot flashes are strongly triggered by certain foods but the foods don't /cause/ them since there's plenty of periods where i've had my trigger foods without having issues

maybe it's the combo of certain foods + stress resulting in the flashes?

might be yeah, and then that causes a feedback loop that can be hard to break out of i did notice they got less bad (not better, but less bad) after the election and then again after i had a couple weeks off work
