In theory this is the last full week I'm working on this game! (depending on if the Steam integration goes smoothly + my productivity). After that it's just fixes based on testing and loose ends related to the other team member's work. In theory it will be announced in early 2021

It will have been about 8 months real time for a 6 month scoped project. So I'd call that a success considering it was done in a pandemic + I had some holiday time in there.

Yes and No! BlitzMax (not Basic) was good because it did what I expected and I had my own framework/engine in it and I could modify the underlying C++ if need be. Unity opaque and weird in many ways BUT does have some more powerful gfx features + portability of course.

And easy to get help and give to another coder to handle ports etc. So it's me planning ahead really. BlitzMax honestly was great but I can't rely on PC game income any more.
