Many people said PS2 is well balanced vs my other RPGs. It's because this time I used a math trick. I assigned to each level a values scale: HP x 10. So a lvl 10 enemy would have (more or less) 100HP. Then weapons scaling accordingly. Lvl1 pistol: 2-3 dmg, sniper rifle 5-8, etc

I mean, when I make a game, I have a few beliefs, including: 1) Minimal grinding. You should be able to get through with either no leveling or with just leveling from point to point. 2) No/Minimal Mirrors. Backtracking? That is what fast travel is for. 3) Hidden should be hinted.

In that if something is hidden, there should be SOME clue as to it being there (with exceptions like debug rooms). Could be on scene or in a different scene. 4) Screw random. 0.001% drop rate? After 100000 failed attempts, it drops. Period.
