if you're wondering how bad is the situation of running a business in Italy, consider that I'm not sure I'll do another KS again. Of the 10k I raised I'd be lucky to get 4k net in my pocket after taxes and absurdly applied VAT...
by comparison people in UK would get almost 7,5k

unless you have special laws, should be like here for VAT. AFAIK even in other countries is the same problem though (just here the taxes are sky-high).

You are VAT registered in Italy right? For people not VAT registered it shouldn't matter. But really kickstarter should handle the VAT!

you are FORCED to be vat registered in Italy as you do business XD even if you earn 5000 eur/year. Welcome to the worst country to do business in the world! But yes, the main fault is KS for being really lazy under this aspect. Even Patreon collects it...

So are you in Spain. Plus pay 300€ social insurance independent of how much you work or your real income is.

pfuit, I pay 3800€ social insurance yearly independent how much I earn! sorry you can't hope to beat italy for taxes, it's impossible

I said 300€ but I rounded, it's quite similar then. And our VAT is quite similar too, I think yours is around 22% and ours is 21%. It wouldn't be that outraging if the state used them properly... however, I think that our countries share a long history of political corruption.
