If you're playing a game with romance options, do you prefer to be told which characters can be romanced, or would you rather discover it on your own? (Comment for other.)

Have the information available somewhere (like the game page) so I can find out if I want to know. (Which I usually do, but that's partly because I'm always scouring games to find out if there's yuri, for curation listings!)

in my new RPG I have a in-game screen clearly explaining, since apparently most players don't bother reading the game page :P too many times I got "what I can't romance Dominic as Max!?!?" when it was clearly explained ...

It is extra-confusing when there's multiple protagonists and they don't all have the same options, yeah. Harder to keep it all in your head if you just glanced.

indeed, instead if it's shown in game shortly after you start the game, it's better (I'll post a screenshot of how I did it tomorrow)
