I'm not by any means a KS expert but I found if your base game price is low it's probably harder to get a lot of funding? I mean I just did 1 KS, but I felt like if the base price was $20 I'd have done better. But maybe I'm wrong and depends on rewards/stretch goals...
thing is that I want to try making some smaller games (with the goal of them being fully translated) but then it's hard to justify a price higher than 9.99 since they'll be short. Even if this new project I have in mind will have like 50+ images... :P

Are you familiar with how Dharker Studios runs their Kickstarters for VNs? I think they have a great balance of tiers without devaluing the base price below what's on Steam. Example: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dharker/beach-girls/description …

yes of course, he gave me many tips for my first KS! my main issue is that I don't want to do physical rewards I guess :P

I'm probably way too early and slightly off topic, but would you by any chance need a German translator? Or did you already choose translators? Just asking bc I might be interested.

I would use an external company to take care of it (all languages)

my current spooky project is probably super-short AND super-expensive (for me), still haven't decided if I should try to do a small fundraise for it :D

my idea is to have a lot of art like in a comic, a bit like what Vera Blanc was supposed to be, but much higher quality of drawings thorough the whole game (so yeah rather expensive for me as well!)
