thing is that I want to try making some smaller games (with the goal of them being fully translated) but then it's hard to justify a price higher than 9.99 since they'll be short. Even if this new project I have in mind will have like 50+ images... :P
I'm not by any means a KS expert but I found if your base game price is low it's probably harder to get a lot of funding? I mean I just did 1 KS, but I felt like if the base price was $20 I'd have done better. But maybe I'm wrong and depends on rewards/stretch goals...

I'm not an expert by far but there is something to this. A lower tier to 'get the game' will draw in more people, but at the same time you're devaluing your game. Some Kickstarter campaigns have a limited tier with a discounted price, often enough to hit the base campaign amount.

actually Hazel will be less than $14.99, and the other game with that comic style I posted a while ago was supposed to be even cheaper, since they're not long like my usual games
