so, in a party based RPG, skills that level up the more you use them. Good or bad idea? Also, explain why please :)
my idea is that you could still increase them assigning points on level up, but also increase them by use like on a scale 0-100, level up could boost by 20, and through use you could add +1 every X battles, something like that

Personally (and only personally) I'd rather see character levelling independent of skill levelling, with skills improving solely through use and perhaps occasional plot related segments as a treat. Characters meanwhile learn new skills and improve base stats on levelling.
