rather surprised that so far most people (even if the difference is not much) would rather wait more and pay more for an extra RPG gameplay

personally I'm a story-first kinda player and would *pay extra* to skip gameplay elements sometimes (but not if it's in the form of microtransactions, ew). like yes please, let me get right to the stuff I am actually here for. but I recognize I may be a minority here.

Like in C14 dating where the minigames were fun... but some were actually unplayable on my phone, so I was really happy to be able to skip those.

I don't need battles and minigames and stats. If you could make a VN where I don't even have to raise my stats constantly for someone to like me, I'd be thrilled. Romance is not about making yourself into a perfect copy of your partner.

depends on the production level/polish. Sooner, cheaper VNs with amazing art/decent storylines would be damn good stuff (think about how mangaka draw popular one-shots). But with an expensive RPG that takes a long time to make, it had better be polished and top-tier excellent.
