I personally think this art style is very nice. It's a shame if people will shy away for nice art like this...

Why not make a smaller game with this art to test the waters? So that you use an art-style you love plus minimize the chance of a possible flop. Though I'm not sure it would be a flop, per-say. There have been several new art-styles out there in the past years. Not all are manga

yes that's what I was thinking to do indeed

Honestly, I think the art is similar enough that it's not a problem. It's still very 2D/cartoon Personally, I am one of the people who didn't super like PS:CD original art, but that's more bc it was uncanny valley and almost imitating 3D/realism.

This art is gorgeous and I think there's enough overlap with the anime/manga style that a ton of people would like it, even traditional anime/manga fans. There actually is some anime that is very similar in style too. (Witch Hunter Robin isn't too far off tbh)

This style is fantastic, would buy a game with good comic style art any day.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I like this art but I didn't like some of the other art (Planet Stronghold) you've had in your games.
-
you mean PS:CD? Or Planet Stronghold (the RPGs) ?

so I fear that whatever game I'd make would get a -100000% sales penalty because is not standard manga art that everyone expects from VNs
