Monika, my Apple Silicon Mac (or arm64 Mac) box showed up via UPS today. Not 100% committing to supporting arm64 macOS, but I'll at least make the attempt.

Cool. Though I'd rather you work on shaders and new renpy features that everyone will benefit from instead of what will become a very tiny niche relegated to the mac appstore only :P

In 2 years all new macs will be on this, meaning you're going to have to work with this to do mac ports.

yes but I dropped mac support like many other indies, it has become too painful. If you already use a mac as your main dev computer then it's less of a problem

Ren'py mac support is generally so painless that I've no idea why you did that. In most projects I've been on it only requires incredibly minimal changes for the mac version to compile & run identically to windows.

it's simple, I don't own a mac, and I cannot build for it anymore. Before you could build for all 3 platforms from any platforms, and now it's no longer possible.

You can’t build for Mac store without a Mac, but I can still generate the manual install files for itch or the like. Are you speaking of steam or what?

no since starting from Catalina OS you MUST have a mac to notarize the app, otherwise it won't run. If you know another way I'd be interested to hear it :P

This warning can be dismissed regardless, but if the van is run via Steam then it is notarized by them (since their downloader processes the files) to my understanding. You’re correct for itch though. Isn’t the ability to build for Mac on a Ren’py server coming soon for Patrons?

you need to ask @renpytom about that, I have no clue :D
