I like the new kind of gameplay design challenges that doing a RPG/match3 involves. Like you need to design the skill based on gem color and make sure the effect/cost is well balanced. #gamedev #indiedev
Also the colors will matter even for players when doing the builds. For example having 2 or more skills using same color is definitely a bad idea (since you'd need to match always that color). I'm thinking also about adding passive skills increasing the mana color over time
