so my new theory about Steam reviews is: "if you make a game that meets all expectations from your trailer and game page, you'll get high review ratings, that's the most important thing" I'd say that game quality matters but not as much as "fulfilling the promise" to players
yes that's my theory. The simplest and more "standard" your game is, the easiest is to get high rating. Already offering male/female playable characters is asking for trouble :P but I still do that!

That's a shame to read, but I suppose there is safety in feeling that everything is "normal" somewhere in all this. I guess I learn there's some importance in supporting the secretly well written unusual pieces. Good to know, thank you.
