almost 2 weeks passed since Planet Stronghold 2 release and while it's of course too early to draw conclusions I can tell you that: - I will NEVER make a sci-fi game again - I will NEVER make a sequel of a game - I will NEVER spend 1 year on a game OK that's it for now :D
to elaborate more: - sci-fi doesn't sell. SOTW alone sold more than ALL my sci-fi games combined. And SOTW it's definitely not my best selling fantasy game :D - in 99% of cases sequels perform worse than original. Spoke with lots of indies and they all confirmed this

- 1 year is too long for my kind of games Though on this last point probably my mistake was not doing a KS. A KS is an early indication of how much interest there's in a game/idea and that's why I'll do it for future titles (not the ones finishing now though)
