Check the rest of this thread. I don't say Steam should drop porn, but I think it needs a separate section. Otherwise it's either porn competes with games on the front page or you don't see any adult-content games at all and neither is ideal.

sorry but I don't understand? You don't like porn -> turn adult content off -> you won't see any porn games anymore (if you do it's a bug then) You don't mind it -> turn adult content on -> see those kind of games why the system as it is doesn't work??

ah you mean that there should be different levels like "tasteful nudity" for example. Yeah on this I agree, it's too much binary right now, for example many of my games are way tamer but are automatically included in adult

It's also a little frustrating IMO that many people block 'Anime' just to try and get rid of all the porny games. We're not ALL porn! :) ... also that there's no tag for BLOODY SLIDER PUZZLES

Also, tags aren't moderated by anyone because Valve is so hands off, so these hentai sliding puzzles just abuse the system and put whatever's popular in there. The entire past week had one tagged with simulation, RPG, story-rich, visual novel, etc.

well that's the free market :D I was the first to say that opening the gates was a bad idea. This is just one consequence, as it is waiting MONTHS to get trading cards, achievement spamming fake games, etc

"That's a free market" is an empty expression that could be used to defend pretty much every shitty thing and doesn't change the fact that things can be handled better if problems like this emerge. Steam already has a huge issue with discoverability.

yes and I agree :) If you remember I was one of the first to say that a $100 fee was definitely too low, that the flood would have turned Steam into a mess and indeed, it is lol

Plenty of these games earn A LOT, so they'd be worth it even if the fee was $5k. They often stay in popular and top sellers for over a week. Frankly I think this once again boils down to Valve actually hiring people to handle and moderate the store. But they'll never do that. :(
