I remember when I released Loren back in 2014 I did something crazy - went out with wife to town to do some errands. The game was out since 2 years on my own site and was pretty sure there weren't bugs, but I feared the community trolls and haters.

And indeed, there were many of those. But I was away, I wasn't even reading them. When I came home I saw big threads, many already reported by mods/players, and I just deleted the worst one, but kept some very critical ones.

I never censored any negative comment about my games unless it was offensive "lol what's this shit" or racist/homophobic. Anyways, it's quite an experience believe me

Yes. This. Sharing on your own, on Patreon, etc, is so gentle and relaxing, compared to when the game goes live on Steam. It's hell on earth after that, forever.
