I'm wondering how long will take to reach market saturation of those small porn VNs. Of course I have nothing against them (anyone can make what they want!) but there are really a LOT out there, and some even heavily compete on price (I saw some under $5)

The more the merrier really but many are hampered by poor English.

yeah, well I got people commenting on my games saying "it's clearly written by non native English speaker" when it was
seems like that writing quality is something you can't make people happy (I mean beside cases in which clearly the writing is amateurish)1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Well they're not wrong about it not being written or edited by native speakers. Poor grammar however is quite jarring and pulls you out of the game. For instance "blah blah do I really want to know what is it?" the it and is should be swapped given that structure.

Cool. Hope I'm not coming over as aggressive when referring the grammar checking tools. My intent was only to suggest it's not necessary to edit 350k+ words entirely by eye where it is likely some errors will be missed.

no no, you're being helpful :) It's only that sometimes us indies have to find a compromise about time/money and finishing a game in time (and with this one I was already late!). A grammar checking tool would be useful, but so far I found only one for the typos

Well there's grammarly not sure how that will get on with text mixed with code. Though I found an extension for it in vscode. There's also "English support for language tool" in vscode. Just search grammar in the extension search.

wait I am using renpy though, so I don't think it works. It supports Atom, so I'll need to look for something for that editor

Vscode has a renpy extension not sure how it'll compare to what you use in atom.
