Just realized steam curators can have recommendations for games they have never owned or played. (lots of half life@alyx recommendations...its not out yet). How is this a good idea? :(

I run a curator for games with lesbian content. It wouldn't be possible for me to play every game, most are listed from user or developer submitted information. We don't review for game quality _at all_, we review solely for 'how gay is it'?

yes but then it's a pointless system. I mean not your specific case, what is a recommendation worth if you haven't even played anything, just seen some screenshots? "I have no clue about that game but I saw a screenshot 3 years ago and was nice, recommended". Zero credibility

I think the curators need something like "This curator received a copy through curator connect", or w/e means so they're eligible to review, then list of members who actually played the game+number of hours would make it more legit.
