getting so many messages about my "android games that disappeared". The answer is the same, they banned me so I have my hands tied, but after this even if I could put them back I would probably never use their services again. No trust anymore in them

yes but it's a "complex" operation for the average user (for example my wife would have no clue how to do that) so it's not worth for me (too much support)

How does she put software on her computer that doesn't come from an app store?

she doesn't. Same for my mom, all her 5 sisters, and probably 90% of people over 40-45 years! It's more common than you think, most people have no clue that is even possible to install apk outside appstores!

There is no learning curve to tapping/double-clicking on a file in your downloads folder. We are computer programmers, we have no excuse for fostering that level of illiteracy in those around us.

Also where I live and work, the age range you're describing are people who grew up using computers before app stores existed. They didn't forget what an installer is or the mysterious complexity of downloading a file through a browser then double-clicking it.

I'm sure SOME people are perfectly fine, just not the majority :)
