sometimes I stop thinking about my games trying to find why some did much better than others. All my RPGs outsell the dating sim/VNs by a wide margin. But it's due to the extra RPG gameplay? the fact that they have more romance options? or maybe the fantasy setting? it's not easy

What's the margin difference? (If it's ok to ask?)

it varies but on average a RPG sells at least 5-6 times a normal dating sim/VN But as I wrote, it's also because ALL my RPG have many romances + can choose playable gender (and they're all VERY long) so maybe that has also a lot of importance!

Whoa... I didn't think it would be that many magnitudes greater! That really is a huge difference!

yes but if I consider the VN with multiple romance+choose your gender, the difference on average goes down a lot. So that might be the reason and not really the RPG gameplay. Hard to say!
