This is, unfortunately, just one of many new platforms who are going to try to take advantage of developers with the "Spotify for games" angle over the next few years. Do not sign up for these platforms! They're going to run video games into the ground

Feel compelled to add that some platforms are currently doing subscription services right - we've got Descenders on Xbox Game Pass, and it has been a *crazy* good experience for us https://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-game-pass-quadrupled-descenders-sales-says-developer-mike-ross … It's these other "pay per play" subscription models that scare me shitless

yes pay per play or by time is total BS - some games don't NEED to be played for 500 hours and are still great
