for me this never worked. Basically the customer made his mind, and no matter what I wrote they wouldn't reply or change their review from negative to positive

It has worked for me. Not fixing bugs but just responding to some reviews with clarifications.

It's worked for me a few times. The ratio is definitely low, but still worth doing. It also gives other people who see your responses a feeling that you are paying attention, and so THEY may leave good reviews in the future.

ok I guess is also due to my kind of games. I mean when someone says "there's this bug XYZ" OK. But if people say "art sucks" or "writing sucks" there's not much you can reply :D
