I like those games a lot. I ignored them for a long while because I didn't want to play a really hard combat game, but then I discovered I really liked them and put 100 hours into DS2 and DS3 and beat them and the DLC. I do enjoy the feeling of achievement after the hardship.

same here, I knew about them, I even got one (I think was DS2) in the Humble monthly but I never bothered until randomly played Bloodborne (which is also one of the most difficult of the series lol). I instantly bought all the others :P

And Bloodborne is absolutely amazing too. A shame I only got to rush through it on a borrowed PS4 :(

I think Bloodborne setting/atmosphere/level design is the best of all the souls games. I still play it from time to time. If only Epic would port it to PC like they did with the Quantic Dream games it would be a hit!

First console I got was a Megadrive when I was 19 after they'd been out a few years so that I could play various Sonics, and Streets of rage. Then I got every Playstation, and the more recent Nintendos (Gamecube onwards). Some really great exclusives on each one.

I owed the PS2-3-4, and the Xbox 360. I never owed a Nintendo console in my life :P

I played some really great star wars games on Gamecube, and Viewtiful Joe, and RE4, and Windwaker, oh and Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door (RPG)! Yeah a lot of great stuff. Mario Galaxy on later ones was also great. Plus Zelda games. Lots to learn from those games you see!

Fully agree. Nintendo's game design is both brilliant and essentially unique. There's a joy oozing through their games that I honestly can't quite describe.
