I have trouble with a solid yes/no since to me there are a lot of other factors at play. The most important being, how long is it and what's the genre? A choiceless MYSTERY game is very different from a ROMANCE one imo.

Which I guess means 'yes, under some circumstances' but it's also true that I consider no-choices a downside in general.

I voted yes, but my caveat is I think kinetic novels need a higher quality of writing to stay interesting. I've had fun playing through some objectively bad VNs just bc I wanted to find different scenes & endings. KNs need to keep the reader invested on the strength of the story.
