Fun fact I just learned: some international developers pay a huge amount of taxes & fees when they try to receive their payments from game platforms. Allow me to illustrate a pathological case that hits every branch on the way down

- Store cut - USA 30% withholding tariff - Bank charges FOREX fee - Publisher gets $. Corporate income tax - Publisher cut - Publisher pays developer. transfer tax - Developer gets $. Corporate income tax - Developers pays revshare partners. transfer tax - Personal income tax

Compare to Level Up Labs, a United States LLC in Texas: - Store cut - Personal income tax (We are our own publisher, and there's no corporate income tax at our level, USD->USD so no FOREX fee, and no transfer taxes)

The pathological case is obviously a bit contrived, but some people apparently have experiences that are pretty dang close to that. They make a tiny fraction of the original gross when all is said and done.

Like, just after USA Tax withholding and the store's cut (assuming both are 30%) you're down to 49% of gross already. Some people I talked to are taking home 33% of gross or less when all is said and done.

If a country has a proper tax treaty with the USA (most do) then you can have the dev fill out a form and get withholding reduced to 0%. (For some it's not zero, but still diminished -- India is 15% I believe). But even then, the dev has to know about this form, & how to fill it

yes I'm lucky that for Italy is 0%
However I'm not sure what is the FOREX fee, do you mean currency exchange? because that is a big hit even in my case with 0% withholding tax. Right now USD->EUR I lose an extra 25% but 3-4 years ago was like 35-40% less!!!
