okay something weird happened, today (2nd day of steam sale) was enormously better than yesterday. maybe valve is experimenting with some kind of staggered sale promo? or maybe the "shit you want is on sale!" emails just got delayed?https://twitter.com/Enichan/status/1107756565757677568 …

3rd day, sales flatlined again, worse than 1st day. Google Analytics shows views are way down compared to yesterday when the wishlister emails went out. This indicates no organic traffic from Steam, sales almost entirely wishlist driven (which is terrible)pic.twitter.com/c3wExyte1G

Talking to another dev who is experiencing the same things.

MidBoss has simultaneous players due to the event, is 84% positive with over 130 reviews with 4 new ones in the last week, 20,000 wishlists, and would easily get to gross 6 figures on Steam this year before this happened. Why is it getting no organic traffic from Valve/Steam?

woah 20k wishlists!? that's a very good amount! yeah normally 2-3 years ago during a weeklong sale you'd have made at least 10-20 times more than the amount you posted

Yes 6 months ago I would still have made an easy $1200-1500

yes minimum. I just noticed something, the "weeklong sale deals" banner is no longer on the homepage. So that means a lot less exposure if players can't access to the list easily as before?
