as some other replied for me there isn't a general rule, some weekends I work 100% (or even more lol) than other days, while others I take 1 day off but usually I work either Saturday or Sunday almost every weekend

not surprisingly the poll ends with the majority of indie devs working at least one day in the weekend. I guess when you're full-time a day is no different from the other :P remember to not get burned out though!

I try not to, because it's much easier to hang out with friends and family on weekends rather than on weekdays. But if I don't have any plans, then the weekend is no different from any other days.

Answering for 2017, my full time indie year -- I found most tasks require multiple days to finish. Imho it's absolutely essential to complete them in one go while it's all fresh in my head. If a weekend went by during that, I catch up by taking a day off. It's a nice reward, too!

Usually not (or doing something small), but sometimes I do get in the zone and work all week.

I’ve sometimes had to while crunching—and it’s real bad—but under order circumstances I will NEVER work on the weekend, even though most of the time I want to. (I also stop working at 6PM every work day, even if I feel like I’d rather keep going.)

But like, ultimately, I KNOW that the best thing I can do for my own productivity is to never burn myself out again.

What's a weekend?

(I tend to be bad at even noticing what day it is honestly)

I don't even know what day it is most of the time...
