Political predicition: a50 extension and 2nd referendum. Win for remain. We remain, with a new Tory leader and no general election. I think this is most likely.

We have had a general election on average every 2 years recently. People are allowed to change their minds, that's kind of the point of democracy.

Especially when the electorate are blatantly lied to about what they're voting on

OTOH: - it's not like the population voted 80% Leave - many people have now discovered that what was promised was lies or impossible - laws and rulings don't stay unchanged forever, we do have regular elections - technically it was non-binding anyway!
-
Given that at LEAST half the country will be furious no matter WHAT happens, one could rule that democracy has already failed.

Having the 1st referendum was the big political mistake. We elect people with large teams and resources supposedly expert in all the complexities to make these decisions for us for a reason.
