this is a best case scenario: a game sells for $100k on Steam (a miracle) net revenues from Steam are about 65k taxes, unless you live in a tax heaven will be at least 25-30k 35k goes is in your pocket, if you were good you managed to spend only $10k to make your game = $25k

but making $100k is really hard. Maybe you can in 3-4 years if your game is VERY GOOD. For example

is 4 years old and didn't make $100k gross on Steam yet. And it's a game that did well compared to many other indies I know... so it's fucking hard to make a living as indie!Show this thread
