measured my different PC speeds. Using Ren'Py reload script at same point: i5 4670 = 6.2 seconds i7 8700 = 4.9 seconds so a gain of 1.3 seconds... even if I reloaded the script 1000 times not a worthwhile gain (not worth the hassle of moving everything on new PC for now)
this is only during development - when games are published you don't need to reload the script, you just use "precompiled script" so speed is much faster :)

Ah. I wasn't aware of that (gosh, good to know my computer is stupid slow in that case since a regular Ren'Py game for me takes a tad longer for me). I think it might be more related to the issues involving Meltdown/Spectre than actual processor speed though if its compile times.
