Performing surgery on my grandfather's PC. SDD dying and causing random lockups as a result, bought a new SSD, recovering what I can from the old SSD and reinstalling windoze.

a failing SSD, never seen one so far (I have some very old ones from 4-5 years ago!)
This one was a 1st (2nd?) gen 120gb from 8 years ago.
Was surprised too though, all health checks were good. But no matter what I did, it would cause windows to lockup randomly (even after reinstalls, new cables, different SATA ports, etc). New drive is working like a champ.
At first I thought it was a bad ram stick, GPU or just overheating, memtest86 checked out fine and I could run 3dmark on it for hours in a hot room with no issues. This is my first SSD/HDD failure in about 22-23 years! :D
