well I can't probably code anything in real-time with Ren'Py (for lack of my own skills I mean) so I would only do turn based (as I'm doing already) or ATB. Was just wondering which game(s) you think has best combat systems ?

You can make a TB game feel very dynamic using short turns with big numbers and more random outcomes. On the other side you can make a Real Time game feel very strategic by using small numbers so the player can predict the outcome.
