so, what you think about RNG in games like XCOM or Battletech? it's good because makes the game unpredictable? or is bad because raises frustration?

Well it *can* be bad, but in my mind, adding a random chance to fail is more true to real life. :) As long as the player still has many other ways to feel like they are in control of the strategy.

I quit playing games like XCOM or Battletech more for the crazy odds than RNG. Like a team of 4 against 15000 millions enemies. Doh weird that you lose. Not fair. I'd have preferred to lose against 4 other good AI enemies
