two support requests this week. All for MacOS of course. MacOS has been the 99.9% of support requests of last year...
mainly thanks to their great "you must use our appstore to buy games" new features

basically both MS and MacOS (but on Mac is much worse) thought to use the "security" excuse to push players on their respective appstore. Result: players annoyed, developers pissed, and everyone is moving to itchio or Steam anyway

I'm honestly thinking of going Steam only at that point. Direct sales have been so low anyway, and almost all of my support requests come from those (also related to "security").

I was forced to move to itchio for direct sales - anything NOT using an external client to launch the app is going to have problems... /facepalm

Correctly signed apps run okay. The problem is that what is "correct" changes so fast and they tighten the screw so often that it's very hard to maintain several legacy games. :/

yes that's why I use itchio or Steam only and not humble for example. If you have a client launching, they only need to make sure that single exe is always correctly working, and not each single game :)
