because believe me, IF I wanted to make quick money I would do one of those porn-VN with 50k words of plot and characters with zero personality...
NOT a 300k words branching RPG that kept me busy for 9 months!!!

then of course you as player are free to say that it sucks, and that you liked more other games. That's fine, it's normal. But it's when players start to assume us author only care about money, that's where I get offended, sorry

and lastly, a game doesn't make money if sucks. People underestimate word of mouth which is the biggest marketing tool. Whenever I made a game that had poor writing/art, it didn't sell well - simple as that

OK so that person explained and he/she didn't mean I was putting no effort :) more like I was too focused on the gameplay in the RPG and not enough in the story. It's true that the RPG part takes a lot of time... hopefully for

I just read the review and am baffled as of why someone would take the time to write so much negative points down which imho are solely based on tastes. Anyway: Everyone saying you don't put your heart into your games clearly isn't following you on the forums or other platforms.

yep, have no problems with criticism but claiming I don't put all my efforts on what I do (especially a game like that one!) that's not true at all

I've played a lot of the games you worked on and never have I ever thought this was poorly made. I think reviewers need to take a step back and see if they are playing something that is in their wheel house. Some games especially novel/RPG games are very much a special genre.

I haven't had a chance to read the negative review yet but I can say as well that you aren't a dev who's making games for a quick buck. I know how much effort you put into your games and true, they may not be some people's preferences. Anyway, I'm sorry that happened. :/

well the person clarified, he didn't mean it that way, was a misunderstanding :)
