personally I read reviews in case I don't know how the gameplay is about, but I never base my purchase on very subjective things like "the writing is bad" or "the story is not original" and similar since it's just personal tastes

Yes, when I'm not sure about the games I check reviews to see if it has things I like or hate in it?

I use reviews for games that I don't know. For example a game that looks pretty but I've no idea what it is about, because I just discovered it! Then I'd check the steam reviews below. Otherwise not. I also don't check game website reviews or scores. Rather lps or streams.

Depends on what the review says, if it's detailed and informative then yes, if it's a short opinion without much explanation as to why they like or dislike the game, then no.

Never. I'm an impulsive buyer. What sells the game to me is advertising (of any sort) that happens to pop up when I'm particularly bored

I read reviews looking for specific pros and cons. But try to take everything with a grain of salt.

Huge impulse buyer. The only time I read reviews is to make sure there aren't any gamebreaking bugs.
