There are a bunch of tech companies doing good work that I'm watching and rooting for. Love seeing thriving through challenging times. Childcare is the absolute key and I will never stop talking about its importance. Kids deserve better. We can do better.

The data is striking. Children with disabilities now make up an estimated 17% of the country’s population of kids and that percentage has been steadily increasing. You can read more about the data we found here and what we built to address it!

A reminder from of that words matter when it comes to public perceptions around #childcare. Terminology like “crisis” & “failed market” - while accurate - may not be doing the field any favors. Are we better served speaking to opportunities?

4/ This isn’t just a pipe dream. Big childcare employers like Bright Horizons do pay better and offer better benefits. (some more info on what they do here winnie.com/resources/how-) We know how to apply some of their efficiencies of scale to smaller centers. It's possible!

1/ First, for a little refresher on what UPK actually is, read this winnie.com/resources/what Basically it’s free preschool for all 4 year olds in that year before kindergarten. Some states offer it but we don’t have it nationwide.
